The South Korean manufacturer of rolling stock Hyundai Rotem and SMA Railway Technology GmbH of Germany will jointly develop a static converter for the use on Rotem's new trams. The static converter will be based on SMA's innovative MEE-NT platform. While SMA provides the power and control electronics, the final assembly and test of the complete system will be done by Rotem in South Korea.
