Following the successful introduction of RegioCitadis (Regiotram) in Kassel and in Den Haag, the Dutch metro carrier RANDSTADRAIL placed an order for further 18 vehicles from ALSTOM for the metro Den Haag.

Already in the past SMA delivered auxiliary power convertes for this double-system vehicle which safely carries the passengers in the light-rail systems and in the surrounding area with different supply voltages as well. Besides the standard auxiliary power converter a second converter system will be delivered which will provide the the air-conditioning system. Delivery of the converters will start in June 2010 to the French Alstom site Reichshofen.
