Stockholm provides an excellent public transport network and uses already 71 modern Coradia Nordic trains to transport the passengers. Now Stockholm Lokaltrafik has ordered again 12 trains from Alstom. The trains will connect the cities of Stockholm and Uppsala with up to 160 km / h. As in the previous orders, SMA provides the auxiliary power converters. The systems have a special weather-resistant equipment and  use multi-level active redundancy. The systems convert a DC input voltage of 1,500 V DC to an AC output voltage of 3 x 230 / 400 V AC, 50 Hz, 105 kVA and a DC output voltage of 110 V DC, 18 kW. Deliveries will start in June 2011.
