The modular, multi-voltage static converter MEE-NTLD of SMA was designed to be easily configurable within a given budget and timeframe. The system can be adjusted to meet the requirements of different types of railway coaches in terms of the electrical consumers installed. Because of that DB Autozug ordered two multi-voltage static converters MEE-NTLD for internationally used Dinning Cars. The converter consists of a 75 kVA input converter, a battery charger as well as a CVCF and VVVF inverter. The vehicle refurbishment will be done by the Neumunster works in early 2008.
