SMA provides converters to be used in fuel cell driven vehicles. This boost converter named “HoTis” adjusts the voltage of the fuel cell (37 - 57 VDC) to the voltage level of the traction battery (60 - 110 VDC). This converters are used in fuel cell driven vans and other hybrid electric vehicles powered by fuel cell. The operating data of the "HoTis" are transferred to the main vehicle computer via CAN bus.
