Alstom Transport ordered further 116 battery chargers for the use in the power cars of the TGV POS and TGV DUPLEX.
Following the successful completion of all required typetests and acceptances, the series delivery for the already order 56 battery chargers started in summer 2006. The delivery for the new order will start in summer 2007 and consolidates SMA's position as a longterm partner of leading rolling stock manufacturers.
