The new passenger rail-bus series 620M (DMU) designed and built by PESA Bydgoszcz SA for the Ukrainian Railways will be equipped with SMA's reliable  batterychargers to provide the low voltage to the on-board systems and to charge the battery. The battery charger converts a three-phase voltage from synchronous generator built on the engine or workshop network to 24 V DC according to EN50155 standards.
